We address environmental issues as an integral part of our management processes.
Management System
Briden Homes Limited is committed to the application of its Environmental Management System (EMS) that incorporates the requirements of ISO 14001. The objectives include continual improvement, prevention of pollution, compliance with national and local environmental legislation and any specific requirements of Contracts. The EMS forms part of our Integrated Management System (IMS) and is subject to regular review. Key aspects of the environmental performance are regularly monitored and results are reported to all interested parties.
Awareness
Briden Homes Limited seeks to create and enhance an environmental culture of awareness and interest amongst staff and management. Areas of particular environmental risk are identified in co-operation with customers, relevant external agencies and the local community.
Enhancement and Minimisation of Impacts
Briden Homes Limited seeks to enhance the environment where possible by helping with continuous improvement and increase awareness of bio-diversity issues. Where works unavoidably intrude on the environment, reasonable care is taken to identify the issues and implement control measures to minimise their impact. We shall liaise closely with the relevant authorities, local communities and interested parties during the design, planning and execution of our projects. An attitude of openness is encouraged at all times.

Briden Homes Limited strives to create a long-term sustainable sector of industry. Resource management and waste reduction are key elements of our management responsibilities. We shall pay attention to design, materials, work methods and waste management processes, thus avoiding unnecessary impact on the environment and minimising wastage of resources.
Sub-Contractors
Briden Homes Limited will work with its sub-contractors to develop joint standards, improve practices and processes, and respect for the environment. We will provide training and coaching where necessary to enable them to work with us to identify and apply best practice. |
